unholy place - front gates

As you approach the decrepit structure from the south, you begin to think you made a very wrong turn somewhere back on that road you've lost track of. The gates before you are barred with mighty chains as if to keep some monstrous creature at bay, yet the surrounding walls have long since succumbed to nature's slow fury. This building appears to have once been a church; you can see the remains of a cross above the skeletal ceiling remnants. Whatever good might have come from this place has long been tainted by a corruption you can feel like a blade just beyond the hairs of your neck. Dare you venture further into this dank, ominous structure, or will you run while you still have life in your veins?
