This is based off a recipe I remembered the basics of from a cook book by either Good Housekeeping or Better Homes & Gardens (I saw it at a craft store and totally forget which it was... but this recipe is missing a lot of their ingredients plus I modified a couple... so yeah, technically it's an "original recipe" lol). The below amount could be multiplied if it doesn't seem like enough for whatever chicken project you might give it a try with:
Honey Mustard Chicken Glaze:
1/4 cup honey
1/8 cup prepared mustard (ie: French's)
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon minced garlic (or onion)
1/2 teaspoon salt
Combine, and wah lah!
I can't eat onion, so obviously I used teh garlic. Honestly, I'd recommend that if you have it or can find it. Here's a recent chat log (with added clarification) of how I used the above glaze; there was extra left over when I was done:
t1rsd3n (4:43:37 AM): yeah, I did it on frozen party wings... threw about six on a plate and microwaved them under a paper towel for 10 mins, and poured off teh excess water
t1rsd3n (4:44:16 AM): turned them over, glazed them (with spoon drizzle whatnot, so the extra glaze didn't get raw chicken juice in it lol)... cooked 8 more mins
t1rsd3n (4:44:24 AM): turned over again, glazed that side, and cooked 4 more mins
t1rsd3n (4:44:28 AM): perfect (but ****ing hot)
t1rsd3n (4:45:11 AM): I do the same thing with just salt + garlic powder, but with that version I keep the paper towel on for all rounds
t1rsd3n (4:45:21 AM): with the glaze, it would be too messy after the initial cooking
t1rsd3n (4:45:32 AM): and it didn't make a mess of the microwave either O_o
