make friendship bracelet cords by tirsden make friendship bracelet cords by tirsden
800kb of pure confusion! :crazy: I actually do hope this is useful; ~Perfectly-Obscure asked me how I made a cord I used recently so there ya go! :D If anyone is actually able to make something following this, please let me know LOL I'd like to know just how much sense this tutorial makes. ^^;

Edit: ~wemustnotforget knows the same method shown in this tutorial, so if anyone would like to see more finished cords and the variations you can do with them (looser fits, more or less strands) check them out here: [link] :D

Weapons of choice: supplies listed in tutorial, borrowed digital camera, Photoshop 5.5

I love making these. it's just that i cut the string WAY too long and end up sitting wherever i am stuck weaving for my life!! Which is bad when i need to move to continue on my merry way. NOT to people. You can NOT move or stop once you begin this bracelet

I do the same thing. :laughing: And I have actually quit in the middle, have to be reeeally careful about it though and lay it all out and remember which fingers went where. ^^; And somebody better not touch it while you're off doing whatever. :dead:

yeah. I don't stop, because i something always happens to mess them up so i end up walking around with it tied around either my sandal or clipped to my pants........ it's awkward and you get funny stares..... hehe..

I used to love making friendship bracelets but couldn't remember how, thanks for reminding me! I'm faving this for when I can afford string.

Most welcome! Awww yeah I live month to month and teenager years were quite a while ago (though honestly I kinda feel like I've finally hit teenage-hood). That's disability for ya tho, below poverty level and well it doesn't help I have an obsession with Asian ball-jointed dolls. :laughing: I can manage them even on this budget though. :D I just have... weird priorities. Good luck with the string, it'd help if these didn't use up so much but I've seen some larger bundles for technically cheaper, just more to spend in one go. ^^;

Awesome! I'm so glad!! :excited: I actually just did this again recently for a cord for a doll outfit belt. :giggle: Guh, I tell you what, trying to add a finicky thin silver thread to two of the floss loops made for a challllenge... great result though. :XD:

I tried it just now. ^_^ I was successful even with my first try! :O This is very clear and easy to understand, even for someone with as bad english as me. :XD:

Though, I have one problem. When I weave for some time, it eventually splits up into two strands of weaving... and then it flows together into one again, and then after some time splits up again o.o

That was insanely confusion, mostly because I didn't use the same colors.
The outcome looks great though!
To bad I don't have the patients to learn it >.>
